Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Glenury Royal features a scarce single malt from the now-closed Glenury Royal Distillery as its centerpiece. Located in the remote Ury district of the Highlands, the distillery was established in 1825 by Captain Robert Barclay, a friend of Royalty and the first man known to walk one thousand miles in one thousand hours. Possibly fueled by its determined founder, Glenury Royal triumphed over a destructive distillery fire, emerging anew like a phoenix and crafting whiskies known for their lively personality and sophisticated grace. Then it became quiet in 1985. 

Glenury Royal imbues this whisky with rich orchard fruit aromas, sweet apple flavors, and subtle apricot undertones. This is further enhanced by the rich toffee and butterscotch notes from Cambus and Cameronbridge. Additional uncommon whiskies included in the mixture are Glen Elgin, Inchgower Glenlossie, Pittyvaich, and Glenkinchie. These contribute hints of vanilla, heather honey, and dried fruits which mix with rich dark chocolate and nutty notes to form a harmoniously balanced profile in this unique 'ghost' whisky.
